Family Owned Versus Chained

When choosing a funeral home, you may want to research whether or not it is owned by a local family or run by a large corporation.  THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

During the last twenty years, publicly-owned corporations have been consolidating the funeral business similarly to what has occurred in other businesses.  For a while, people were buying into it, thinking that they were getting nothing but the best in not only both service and product, but also in cost.  This however, has not been the case.  If you think about it, what does a corporation really know about the funeral business and taking care of families?  Nothing.  They exist to make sales and make money.  They simply cannot and have not been able to measure up to the service and compassionate care that comes from a family owned funeral home that has been serving families for generations.

Family owned funeral homes are also able to give you the extra support that you need even after the funeral is over.  Commercial owned funeral parlors are there to make the sale, make the profit and when the contract is satisfied, you are nobody to them anymore.

Please take the time to consider this when choosing your funeral home.  You do have the freedom of choice.
